I’m not going to say much in this post. Instead. I’m just going to pull together several photos of Simon in action from the past 6 months or so, to put a spotlight on the type of "boy" he is in 2007.
He can climb like a monkey:
And swings through the trees with ease. He has a great "Tarzan" call:
And can become one with the forest:
If he doesn’t have a natural shelter he can make pretty cool forts out of milk crates:
Or he may just play in the heaps of mulch:
Sometimes, Simon is an arctic explorer:
When it is time to work, Simon can be a great worker:
Simon also loves our animals, whether they be dogs, cats, pigs, or goats:
Most importantly, Simon gave his heart and life to Jesus and was born again last year! Yes, he was very young, but he understood that he was a sinner and needed to be saved. It was not our idea, but he made it clear that he needed to pray and we let him pray the sinner’s prayer all by himself.
Here are some pictures of his baptism that his brother Matthew and I were priviledged to conduct for him a couple of weeks after he was saved:
Simon is wonderful in so many ways and we are very thankful that God has given him to us! He is all boy and can get into some messes, but he learns from his mistakes. He keeps everyone on their toes but he makes life more enjoyable here at Pure Water Hollow.
