Ultrasound = Tabitha Marie

The eagerly awaited appointment finally arrived on October 25th. The Doctor told us at the previous appointment that the ultrasound should be able to determine if our baby is a boy or a girl on our Oct. 25th visit. That has been all the children could think about for over a month now!

Simon wanted to find out that he would have a baby brother and Christina has been hoping that she would have a baby sister. I’m not sure which way Erica and Matthew were leaning, but they were very interested to find out. Lisa wrote about it in an email and I enjoyed reading what she had to say about it so much I decided to quote it here:

“Christina hugged Simon and said, “I’m sorry, Simon.” She was so sweet you would never guess they have argued back and forth for almost three months whether the baby will be a boy or girl. Of course, Simon wanted a boy and Christina wanted a girl. So it really was sweet of her. Simon decided he could have great fun with a little girl, too. We finally decided on a name also: Tabitha Marie. The name Tabitha is found in Acts 9:36-43. Christina and Simon both talk to Tabitha (through my belly) off and on all day. We took a walk this evening up to the animals and Christina was telling Tabitha where we were at each stop: “We’re at the goats now Tabitha!” This baby might be talking when she’s born with all the coaching she’s going to get by then. I don’t know if I will be able to contain them when she starts to really kick. I have been feeling her for about a month, but they haven’t been able to feel her yet. That’s something Christina and Simon tell her every night: “I love you, Tabitha. Maybe you’ll kick really big for me tomorrow, OK? Good night.” Erica and Matthew are excited also, but they are not as vocal about it.”

That is the news I wanted to share in this post. Someday Tabitha will be able to read this for herself and she will know that she was loved by us all before she was even born! We have been praying every day for you, also, Tabitha. Now we can pray for “Tabitha” instead of “the baby”. I think one of the best reasons for finding out the sex of our baby was for us all to be able to start knowing her better and praying for her by name.

That was such a sweet post. We have a Hannah Marie. I think Marie and Maria is spanish for Mary. I never had a hard time picking names for our kids. I just knew what I wanted them to be named. The reason I said that is because I hear a lot of people say they have a hard time. All three of my kids are named after someone in the Bible. Elizabeth, Hannah and Samuel. I would love to be able to have a couple more kids but unless God works a miracle I can`t. I wouldn`t even mind to adopt but I know that will never happen. I even have a name picked out if I was to be blessed with another little girl. I would name her Mollie after my grandmother and her middle name would be Grace. Maybe one day I will have grandkids and maybe one of my kids will use that name.

I haven't been around much lately. With homeschool and farm work plus remodeling. Congratulations on the upcoming birth. So glad that you found a midwife that suits you all. I had each of my kids named before I ever found out what they were and believe it not, I only had one name picked out. When my son was born, I had no other name and we had unltrasound with him and he kepted it a secret. And I only had his name now picked. The same thing happened with my daughter and I only had a girl name picked out. Down deep I knew exactly which each was before delivery. I would have been hurting if they had turned out the opposite way. And I would love to have more kids, if its God's will. My husband and I both are praying for more.

Many blessings,

Lynn

I will be praying that you all have a healthy baby and delivery.

Nothing like a new baby to really see that sweet loving side of your other kids! I know we are looking forward to meeting her, and Noah and Kari are 'suggesting' our next baby be a boy! (no thats not an announcement)
