Gas Prices Falling!

Gas prices are making me happy! I was happy a week and a half ago when I was able to fill up for $2.43 a gallon and I thought it would probably go up. I am happy it has continued to go down. Coming home from church tonight I passed a station for $2.23 a gallon! Unfortunatley I am broke right now so I won't get to fill up until Friday. Maybe it will be even lower at that time. I saw on my new gas link (which I think is pretty cool) that Mt. Sterling is down to $1.97 right now! Only two months ago I paid $2.97 a gallon and was pleased because the other stations were $3.01! A dollar difference per gallon will really add up in a hurry. If our 30 gallon tank in the van is empty we're talking about filling up for $30 less then a couple of months ago!

On a sadder note, while we were passing that $2.23 gas station we were running the heater for the first time. Seems kind of early for heat, with it not even being officially fall yet! Tonight it is supposed to get down into the 30s and scattered frost possible!

  1. What a great blog! I also like the Kentucky Gas Prices insert you added. Are you aware of the MSN page that will tell you what gas station in your area (or any area) is the cheapest? You type in a zip code and it lists the lowest price, average price, and highest priced gas station in that area. It also gives you a complete list of all the gas stations prices and addresses in that zip code and the surrounding area. It is pretty neat!

    it is at: http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx

Since this is a comment and not a post, I don't think you will be able to click on the above to go there. You will need to copy it and paste it in your browser. Check it out, and keep up the great posting!
