They were supposed to be some type of apple bush type of hybrid, I think.
I don’t see them being carried anywhere anymore, so I guess they were a flop. Ours grew much taller than they were supposed to and never have produced anything more than a few blooms.
Here are a couple of pictures of them:

I am thinking about pruning them heavily this year and see what happens.
Does anyone know anything about "Apple Towers"?
(When I googled "apple towers" there came up 1,240,000 sites and the first 80 or so are all about the apple computures! I don’t think there existed an apple tower from MacIntosh when we got these "apple towers!")

We have apple trees and they need to be pruned before the sap comes up. Feb. or March. or in late fall after the sap goes down. Hope that helps. sheryl
Sorry I had to reread your post. I thought you were asking about pruning. Sorry I have never heard of them. I thought they were some type of apple tree. You have to excuse me, I am so tired and I am just about to fall over. I will ask around for you and see if anyone has heard of them.
