Christina's Walk Through Snow Covered Woods

Christina wanted to walk through the snow up to the sugarbush this morning. We were going to hang the buckets on the maple trees we tapped a week and a half ago because today was going to be nice weather. We had a surprise snowfall yesterday and Christina wanted to take our camera on her walk. (The weather people had actually predicted 100% chance of snow for the day before but we did not get anything at all! The snow from yesterday was only a 50% chance of flurries. Just goes to show Who is really in charge of the weather!)

Christina is doing a great job taking pictures and I just thought I would share a few of her pictures of our snowy woods now.

Here is a small outcrop of rock that made a good picture on the way to the sugar bush:

Isn’t the hill pretty with the snow on it?

The “road” up the mountain was snow covered:

This is a nice picture of the West Cave. You can see the chairs in the opening where we had done some deer hunting:

When Matthew and I got up to the the sugar bush, Christina was sitting under a tree, taking in the beauty all around her. We took many more pictures of hanging the buckets on the maple trees in the snow and I will share them in my next post.

It has been a very nice Valentine’s Day today!
