Is it possible in the 21st century to have an old fashioned, Christ honoring, homestead? We are creating such a homestead nestled in the hills of Eastern Kentucky while we learn more about the "old ways" of living!

Snow Already?
With still three days left in October, I think this is an interesting weather forcast:
They predict that we could have 4-8 inches of snow before October leaves us! Could this be an omen of the winter to come here at Pure Water Hollow Homestead?
Well, Monday saw rain all day around here with temps in the upper 30s, but the wind was icy cold. It changed over to snow sometime in the pre-dawn hours this morning and caused very slick roads. (No school. Earliest snow day folks can remember around here.) Everything got white, but it kept melting on the ground while snowing in the air. The temps got back up to 40 and this evening we have rain again and all snow is gone on the ground. A couple counties away have 12 inches on the ground, but not here. Our rain is predicted to turn back to snow tonight, but we'll see.
